anyone still here?
Xposted awhile ago on girls_with_ink.
I'm thinking about getting this done on the back of my neck, between the hairline and that bone that kinda sticks out.
I'm new to tattoos, so I don't know anything about how they age....or how wrinkly that place will be when i'm old and grey. How do you think one in that location will look in 10 years+??? Suggestions for a better location? Current Mood: amused

Hey there! My name is Caitlin and I'm new to this community. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted a 4 leaf clover tattoo. So the weekend after I turned 18 I got one :)

hi, I'm an interior design student and I have to do a project based off of another artist's work synthesized into a carpet. I have a question I figured I might ask here. Does anybody know any modern painters that do celtic designs? It has to be painting though. Thanks

Hey I'm Kobh and I'm new to celttatts.
Rule three says come in and give a big hello and some bits about myself so here I go.
I live in the US but my family lines come form Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Britain and so on (others as well but those are a but off topic like Denmark and Norway).
I have ties to the Ross and Hume (through Rutherford) clans. I love digging into my culture and all the stories and mythos that come with it.
I've been getting into Celtic art over the last few years and really like new designs that stay close to traditional motifs.
Other then that I like traditional music that comes from Celtic areas and dance and so on. I don't speak Gaelic but would love to learn some day.
As far as a tattoo I have non yet. I been looking for a good artist to render a idea for me in a traditional style but yeah that is on the back burner.
Anything else that anyone wants to know just ask. Current Mood: bouncy

-- Can anyone tell me if this is an authentic Celtic frog?
-- Or is it just some drawing with Celtic-ish designs thrown in?
* I've been searching high and low for a good image of a Celtic frog, for my next tattoo... but I couldn't find any. Until, I came across this one. Now, all I need to do is find out if it's authentic [I would really hate to be running around showing it off as a authentic Celtic frog when really it was just put together by photoshop -or what have you.]
All help appreciated.

Hi, new here.
Hi there, I am new to the community. The reason why I joined the community was to see if I could get some help with finding a wedding band tattoo that was a Celtic design, and with the help of tat2dgirl we think that we found one. Yea!!!
My husband and I are going to get wedding bands done, we are so excited. We found on design and I think that we will probably have that done.
I have a tattoo on my lower back that is a four leaf clover and then a celtic knot design below that. When I can get my husband to get a good picture of it, I will post it on here for everybody to see. It was a birthday present to myself.
Anyway, if there is anything else you would like to know just ask and I will try my hardest to answer it. Look forward to talking with all the great people on this site and learning as well. Current Mood: devious

Celtic Wedding Band Tats
My husband and I have been looking for some great celtic wedding band tattoos. We have been unable to locate any good ones, so I was wondering if anybody here would be able to either point me in the right direction or maybe design one for me.
Thanks :o) Current Mood: curious

Yello! Doesn't look like there's much going on here, but I'm posting anyways...since I'm addicted tattoos, especially Celtic ones. I have two Celtic knots, and three other's (two dragons on Star Wars). I'm a mom of an almost three year old, and I looooove Gaelic Storm. (But they never seem to come around here anymore). I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, but originally from Wisconsin. That's about it on my end. Here's a like to my tattoos (sorry for the crappy images.)http://www.geocities.com/jaryen/tatts.html

I've got a small lot (3 books) that I need to get rid of. I'm broke, once again, and I'm trying to pull together some extra money. Two of the books cost $6.95 (I think) and the one cost $16.96 (I think). Two are Celtic clip art, and one is how to draw Celtic things (animals, letters, and knotwork).
I'd like $20. The books are brand new.

Hi. My name’s Scott and I’ve been interested in my Scottish heritage for most of my life. I’m trying to get a couple of phrases translated in to Scottish Gaelic for my next tattoos. “and they shall soar on wings like Eagles. Isaiah 40:31” will arch below a knotwork eagle on my shoulderblade and “warriors are born, not made” will encircle my bicep. If anyone could help me translate these, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

My Tattoo :-)
I got my second tattoo last friday. My first tattoo is about 2"x2" It's a celtic cross in the colors of the Irish flag. I've had it for a little over a year. It's located on the small of my back. On friday I got my family name spelled in Gaelic "O'Dochartaigh" in a banner over the top of the cross. The letters are colored in green, and there are red accents around the name. It's pretty awesome, and I'm very proud of it. :-) Pictures to come. :-) Current Mood: good
